Health and Safety Update

Dear HealthStar Families, as with all businesses, especially those in healthcare, in the El Paso/Humble areas, we are committed to the safety and health of our employees, patients, families as well as any individual that walks into our facility. This commitment is nothing new to us, although in light of the recent pandemic situation we are continuing to take additional measures to ensure we can stay as healthy and safe as possible.

We continue to follow all state and federal guidelines related to healthcare facilities.  These guidelines may or may not follow local rules.  We monitor the CDC and CMS for continued guidance for healthcare facilities.

HealthStar has always taken precautions in our facility regarding infection control and continue to increase the level and frequency of these measures.

This includes the following:

  • Disinfecting all regularly touched items at frequent intervals throughout the day. This includes door handles, light switches, desks, countertops, etc.
  • Thoroughly disinfecting all surfaces and items touched/manipulated during treatment sessions and before exiting the therapy room.
    Other measures we are implementing:
  • We do allow families to remain in the waiting room.  You are welcome to wait in your car after bringing your child inside. The therapist will be able to walk your child to you after the session is over. YOU MAY NOT LEAVE THE PREMISES.
  • HealthStar has the right to deny treatment for a child who arrives with a persistent cough and/or fever.

If you, your child, or anyone in your household tests positive for any communicable disease please contact our office so we can proceed according to the guidelines.  Additionally, please cancel your session if your child has a fever or cough.
We ask that you notify HealthStar of your cancellations.
